Autism: A Practical Guide is exactly what it sounds like. It’s an accessible and practical guide to autism – full of tips, ideas and strategies you can use right away to help your child.
This book is written for parents, but the easy to read style also makes it useful for anyone who wants more understanding about autism. The many stories and examples throughout the book really help to illustrate the ideas.
Alan Yau is the creator of Autism Sparks, a website and facebook page dedicated to helping parents of children with autism. He has worked with children with autism for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including teacher and manager of an autism provision. What started it all off was a chance summer in New York State in the early 90s, working on a camp for children and adults with special needs – the children with autism he met there have had a profound effect on everything he has done since.
A Higher Court is a bestselling legal thriller with spiritual undertones from John Betcher. If you’re a Grisham fan, you’ll love this one!
Here’s what the book is about: his father’s untimely death forces Minneapolis attorney, William Kensey, to confront his Christian faith. Kensey’s internal conflict becomes his civic duty when he is summoned to serve as a juror in an improbable trial–a trial to determine whether God exists.

Could the newest greatest thing kill you? CELLFIRE is an spellbinding new thriller that will have you finding out the answer to that very question.
CELLFIRE imagines a world where a rogue faction has decided to inflict harm by making smart phones ticking time bombs. There are four supposedly unrelated murders, but soon dots are being connected. Will they be discovered before more people die?
Inspiration for CELLFIRE came from the repeated hysteria among the media, Wall Street and the public each time the smartest phone was rolled out. CELLFIRE’s protagonist would definitely be played by Seymour Hoffman.
Ramlingen dragged Gilbert to a corner console and smashed his face on the metal corner three times. The Indian looked around the room, blood all over the place. He walked over and righted his chair and returned to his task. Hands shaking, a few more key strokes and he was finished. Cellfire was set.
35 years as a newspaper writer/editor makes for a lot of observation. I decided to take and idea for a story and see it through and now there’s CELLFIRE. Although fiction, there is much fact about contemporary life in CELLFIRE.
I enjoy many foods and all kinds of music. I don’t watch much TV, except for very old movies and C-SPAN.

When characters become so real to you that you just have to tell their story, that’s the best time to get them out of your head and write your book. I began a few years ago writing down these stories, and they have taken on a life of their own. There are now seven of them, with a few more coming by the end of the year. What other profession lets you just make things up?
My favorite food is babyback ribs, but cheesecake is a close second. I write in my home office, which I can have complete quiet to let my mind run free. I listen to contemporary Christian music and some Country Western and my favorite TV show has to be Castle.
Be transported in time back to when outlaws on horseback were robbing stagecoaches in THE SHOPKEEPER. This tale follows Steve Dancy, a New York shopkeeper, as he journeys out West to discover new adventures.
Readers who enjoyed The Sisters Brothers, Lonesome Dove, and Hondo will like THE SHOPKEEPER.
THE SHOPKEEPER was inspired by The Virginian. Mr. Best’s began to imagine if the Easterner was not just the narrator, but an active participant in the story. Who would play Steve Dancy? Possibly, Christian Bale or Ryan Gosling.
This is available for $3.99 on April 22.
I passed the deck to my right, but Dooley declined to cut. When I continued to hesitate, Richard made another “Hurry up” gesture. I knew the command to deal must hide a larger story, but their faces told me this was all I was going to get, at least tonight. A man killed, but the town newspaperman and the sole doctor barely blink. This was the West, and Pickhandle Gulch was remote and isolated, but my new friends’ reaction seemed surprisingly subdued.
James Best is the author of The Shopkeeper, Leadville, Murder at Thumb Butte, The Return, Tempest at Dawn, The Shut Mouth Society, Principled Action, and The Digital Organization. James has ghost written several books. He has written two regular magazine columns, numerous journal articles, and is an active blogger. Besides being an active surfer, James belongs to Western Writers of America and is a member of the Scottsdale, Arizona Corral of Westerners. He lives with his wife, Diane, in Arizona and California.
I started writing on business trips to relax after a stressful day. Within minutes, I could escape to another place and time. Now, I write anywhere and at any time. I have written for as short as five minutes and as long as seven hours. Most of the time I write because there is nothing else I would rather do.
Who couldn’t use more money and move up in their career? HOW TO LEARN HIGHER PAYING SKILLS will provide you with the critical information to be able to advance your job and income level.
Readers who love What Color is Your Parachute, Quitter, or The 4-Hour Workweek will like HOW TO LEARN HIGHER PAYING SKILLS.
Mr. Churchill was inspired to write this book when he realized that to succeed professionally and financially, he would have to take charge of my own learning and development to get higher paying skills.
This book will be available on April 22nd.
As we’ve observed, the economy is ruthless. It does not care about your career, your goals, or your efforts to provide for yourself and your family. The economy does not care that your job–your source of pride and income–suddenly vanishes to reappear in another country. The economy does not care if your career is suddenly vaporized by a new technology or invention. The trend of “creative destruction” is actually no longer a trend. This is the new, permanent way the game is played. The most important skill you need to succeed is the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Steve Churchill is not an “author.” He’s just a guy who’s still pounding the pavement each day searching for business/work. He’s committed to helping people get liberated from unrewarding, dreary work. He believes anyone, in any circumstance, can teach themselves new skills and get a better career.
My favorite thing (of late) is when people read my book (or even a chapter) and say, “Wow, that’s really good information! I’ve been wanting to change jobs for a long time now, but I don’t have the knowledge or experience to get into the line of work I really like. This book gives me a strategy for accomplishing that and finding a job aligned with my dreams.”

Mainak Dhar is a cubicle dweller by day and author by night. His first “published” work was a stapled collection of Math solutions and poems (he figured nobody would pay for his poems alone) that he sold to his classmates in Grade 7, and spent the proceeds on ice cream and comics. Mainak was a bestselling author in his native India with titles published by major houses like Penguin and Random House and with one of his novels (Herogiri) being made into a major motion picture. In early 2011, he began to use Amazon to reach international readers through his ebooks and became one of the leading independent authors in the world with more than 100,000 books sold in his first year. He has thirteen books to his credit including the bestselling Alice in Deadland trilogy.
Fans of A Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings will love A DAWN OF DRAGONFIRE, an epic fantasy, about Requiem, an ancient kingdom whose people turn into dragons to defend their land against an army of phoenixes. Check out book one and then read the rest of the recently released Dragonlore trilogy!
A DAWN OF DRAGONFIRE was inspired by listening to Mozart’s Requiem. We imagine Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) as Lyana, Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) as Elethor.
This is available on April 22nd.
“Their wings thudded. Their flames roared. Thousands of dragons, warriors of Requiem, soared through wind and darkness. Their cries rose in the night: for war, for fire, and for glory.”

Only fifteen minutes since I’d entered the halls of Perdido High School and already the beady eye of authority was upon me. I hadn’t even done anything wrong.
“Travis!” Ms. Valenzuela called out to me from the door of the guidance office. Although she was getting old, maybe into her early forties, she hadn’t let herself go. She had great legs, which were hidden today by her lime green pants.
“Yo.” I loped over and unleashed a grin that combined sincere remorse for my failings with my irresistible charm.
I am a mom and a dachshund lover and have lived in Los Angeles for most of my life. I’ve worked as a banker and a lawyer, but my favorite job of all is writing. I like to write hopeful and sometimes funny stories about kids overcoming tough circumstances. And a bit of romance is always good, too!
Favorite Food: I love refined carbohydrates
Favorite Place to Write: I write at home in my pajamas and am so happy that I can. I enjoy my home and my family.
Favorite TV show: Reality TV
