What would you do if someone offered you a solution to all of your problems – but you’d turn the world upside down if you did? And what kind of disease is more blessing than curse? It’s called the Eden Plague.
Take yourself on a roller coaster ride in this Crichtonesque thriller – THE EDEN PLAGUE.
David VanDyke was inspired to write EDEN PLAGUE as a new and different twist on all the plague/apocalyptic fiction out there. He wondered what bad things would happen if something amazingly good showed up, and how society would react. David imagines that Jeremy Renner would be Daniel Markis.
He kicked the man under the table, hard, somewhere near his left knee. Jenkins convulsed forward, dropping the cigarette and clutching for the pain, and Daniel reached over, put his left hand on the man’s head and mashed his face into the table. With his right he used the magazine extension of the automatic to grind out the burning cigarette. “Now you owe me for a new tablecloth.”
I’m a retired military officer, and always wanted to write. I’ve told stories all my life, in one form or another, and the idea of a second career where my work, my time and my success are my own is attractive to me. Getting feedback from fans (yes, even the bad stuff) is amazing. I ascribe to JA Konrath’s dictum: “Be Entertaining!” That’s the number 1 rule of writing a good book.
Favorite Place to Write: I write away from others in my household – even my dogs can throw me off track, though I do like my window.
Favorite music : That’s very eclectic, from Metallica to George Winston, from the B-52s to John Denver. It all depends on the mood I want to be in.
Favorite Foods : I do like to eat. Probably Indian foot is my all-time fav.
Favorite TV Show: I guess I could say Firefly. I love stories with twists. Joss Whedon rocks.
SAND DOLLAR is a heart warming romantic fantasy that is sure to have you laughing, crying and falling in love with Noah. Noah Hartman on his deathbed describes his life of love and loss, only to discover a far greater truth.
SAND DOLLAR was inspired by the author’s life after finding a sand dollar while snorkeling in the Caribbean and how it applied to his life. Who would play Noah? Channing Tatum, of course!
BOOM ! The precious sand dollar in Noah’s hand exploded. In what seemed like slow motion, the sand dollar disintegrated through his fingers into a thousand tiny grains of sand that evanesced into obscurity. “Because for me, the sand dollar represents life, and how fragile life really is. What was once so very precious to me, suddenly and without warning, disintegrated and vanished before my eyes. Just like the sand dollar, life holds no promises. Seemingly solid and secure in our grasp, the blessings we have in our lives today are easily shattered tomorrow. The lesson learned: never take your loved ones for granted. And if you’re ever lucky enough to find that one person in life who makes you love more than any other person could possibly make you love, you treat every day together as if it were your last. You cherish every moment.” “However, for me, this lesson came too late, for she was already gone, seemingly lost forever. And there was nothing I could do to put the pieces back together. I would spend my life wishing I could somehow travel back, back in time, to the day I first laid eyes on that precious beauty.” The precious beauty of Robin’s young face was shadowed by sadness as she nervously searched Noah’s worried eyes for reassurance.
Born and raised in New England, Sebastian Cole joined his family’s business after graduating from Brown University in the 80s. A true romantic, his life is defined by following his heart and pursuing his dreams, which is why he has become a novelist. Sebastian writes from the heart, believing in true love, love at first sight, and finding that one person in life you’re meant to be with.
His debut novel, Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love, has won numerous awards, including being a winner in the Beverly Hills Book Awards, a finalist in the ForeWord Firsts debut literary competition for first-time authors, and currently a finalist for ForeWord Reviews Book Of The Year Award. Sand Dollar was on the cover of Publishers Weekly (March 25, 2013 issue). With a rating of 4.6 stars on Amazon, the book has been getting rave reviews, many of which compare him to his favorite author, Nicholas Sparks. Whether or not he ever achieves that kind of success, touching the lives of others through my writing has been the single most gratifying thing he has ever done in his life.

After their meeting, he must protect her from being caught in the crossfires of a revenge-seeking madman. But will he be able to fight off his feelings for Sophia?
Readers who like Janet Evanovich and Gemma Halliday will enjoy THE HOT SHOTS.
Stephanie Queen, the author, was inspired to write THE HOT SHOTS because she wanted to write the big bang theory romance where a British spy meets Boston decorator and no one is ever the same! She imagines Emma Stone as Sophia.
Stephanie Queen lives in bucolic New Hampshire where writing happy, snappy romances takes most of her time. But you can also find her squeezing a UConn football or basketball game into her schedule. Right now, she’s busy writing her next book in the Scotland Yard Exchange Program Series. Visit her website to learn more at StephanieQueen.com or connect with Stephanie Queen on Twitter or Facebook.
I’m certain that my favorite place to write is Hawaii. Someday I’ll get there and prove it. My favorite exercise is dancing to 70s music. My favorite food is milk chocolate Lindt Truffle balls. And last, but not least, my favorite background noise is listening to NCIS reruns on TV while I slave away on my computer writing happy snappy romance novels.
Two romances for a buck each – nice way to ease in to Monday morning, don’t you think?

For several long, tense minutes, we just sat there. The time ticked by slowly, and I got edgier and edgier with each passing second. Leave it to me to get myself into a situation like this. He was probably sitting there wondering how I would taste—and I hoped I gave him food poisoning—and where he was going to hide the body when he was done with me. One bloody murder scene after another played out in my mind, and I became more and more terrified with each one. I was shaking hard enough that I was surprised I wasn’t rocking the entire car. Therefore, when Nathan reached over and touched my cheek, I nearly jumped out of my skin.
I started writing 8 years ago for my daughter, but now I write because I…well, because I have to write. Other than my husband and my kids, it’s my one true love. True, it cuts in on things like laundry and cooking (which I’m terrible at, anyway) but it makes me happy.
A few little things everyone should know about me…
Favorite Movie: The Count of Monte Cristo
Favorite Writing Spot: Outside. Even if it’s just on the porch, I seem to work better with a little fresh air.
Most Important Writing Tool: Headphones. I have to have music when I write. They also have the added bonus of letting everyone know I’m unavailable for conversation.
SHADOW SLAYER is the second installment in the exciting Shadow series. Roxie discovers that she is the shadow slayer and defends her family and friends against the shadows that seek to become human.
Fans of Fairest or Flutter will definitely like SHADOW SLAYER. Laura Elliott was inspired to write SHADOW SLAYER from how people have chosen who they are – their good or dark side.
“Roxie, I caught you! I was so late because Brian’s car got a flat. He fixed it so great, I couldn’t believe it. It’s like he went to bad ass school or something,” Ally says, laughing.“Ally. We hug. I swallow hard. Brian. Fixed. A. Flat. I mean it’s not brain surgery but believe me, if it doesn’t have an LCD screen, my brother Brian doesn’t think it exists. He doesn’t know how to fix a flat. O.M.G. Brian is probably a shadow too.
I love writing about enchanted road trips, shadow worlds, and alien romance while eating lots of popcorn. I live in a tree house on the central California coast. After twenty-plus years as a freelance graphic designer/animator with clients including E! Entertainment Television and The Los Angeles Times, I crossed over into the world of publishing non-fiction and followed my heart to the world of fiction.
My favorite food is POPCORN & jalepeno chips & malted milk balls…I love my treehouse for writing and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I love listening to soundtracks from movies when I write. Words can distract me.
THE LITTLES, a psychological thriller, delves into the mind of a deranged serial killer as it follows the twists and turns of an FBI manhunt. Action packed and filled with suspense, THE LITTLES takes readers on a thrill ride they will not soon forget.
Readers who enjoy Iris Johansen, J.D. Robb, and Julie Garwood will like THE LITTLES.
The author was inspired by her background in psychology and a fascination with serial killers combined with her love of an impacting story heavily influenced her decision to create this series.
This fast-paced and heart-wrenching novel is also available on Nook.
With more pleasure than he’d anticipated, John ripped away the linens covering her body and simultaneously placed one hand over Kelly’s mouth and the gun barrel against her temple.
After a long moment Kelly registered the new sensations and her eyes flew open. She heard the low chuckle and smelled the noxious aroma of sweat and dried blood. The gloved hand covering her mouth and the cold metal pressed against her head caused her to freeze in fear.
“Get up.” The voice was low, but menacing. When Kelly didn’t move, he cocked the gun, letting her know she had a choice.
“Now.” He insisted.” “Raised in the foothills of the mystical Blue Ridge Mountains, I attribute my love of beautiful landscapes and fascination with all things paranormal to my environment. The settings and characters in my novels reflect my appreciation for natural beauty as well as a desire to explore the what-if’s of things unseen. Throw in a degree in Psychology paired with a strong interest in the workings of the criminally insane mind and you have a breeding ground for a psychological thriller.
Becoming an author was not a conscious decision; I’ve always been a writer. Channeling a passion for story-telling into my livelihood required a giant leap of faith, one that I’ll never regret as I truly love what I do.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy antiquing, bead-weaving and sharing time with my incredible daughter and our two spoiled-rotten cats.” “My favorite food is anything Italian; what’s not to love about cheesy pasta? Dining on lasagna while watching any of a half-dozen reality shows or listening to Adele belt out something poignant is my idea of a good time.
When I write, I do so in an office designed with lots of light, surrounded with accessories that make me smile. Stained glass lamps, crystal baubles, colored glass flowers and images of my family all encourage my creative process. As necessary as a beautiful atmosphere is, I really think that it’s the Pringles that help take my writing to a new level. Gotta have that salty snack when things get tense.

Set against a 1969 psychedelic love-in backdrop, The Girl From Long Guyland is shared through the eyes of Laila Levin when decades later, an unsolved murder pulls her reluctantly into her past. A dramatic collision of then and now – entwining family, marriage, profession and ethics.
Readers who enjoyed Gone Girl and She’s Come Undone will like THE GIRL FROM LONG GUYLAND.
The author’s inspiration came from reflecting on different periods of her life and examining what she learned from them. For her, the late sixties was an aberration from the rest of her relatively conservative life. She has found that evidently the novel has struck a chord with other baby boomers’ memories.
THE GIRL FROM LONG GUYLAND will be available on Kindle for $0.99 on April 14th.
I wrote my first novel at five years old and have been writing ever since while trying to hold down a day job and raise three boys. My first novel, THE GIRL FROM LONG GUYLAND was published last Nov. The author was inspired to write the AFTERLIFE series after reading the book ‘Heaven is for Real’, about a child who died, went too heaven and came back. When his dad asked him what he did while dead and in Heaven, he said “I went to school, of course”. She couldn’t get the idea out of her head and soon the characters came alive.

My hand slipped from the doorframe and I was pulled into the apartment.
For a second my right arm was free.
I pulled Sallie’s knife from its leather calf holster. The body on top of me, with the apparent instincts of a wrestler, reached for my free hand.
He gripped my wrist, but not before I cut deep into his leg.
A massive blow thundered down on my chest; his fist, in turn, smacked the side of my head.
Everything went dark. But I could hear. Hear my own death. Like prison doors slowly slamming shut in my head.

PIKE PLACE is a coming of age novel set in 1971 Seattle. Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a teenage girl while out with her family at Pike Place Market. PIKE PLACE is uniquely told through the eyes of a young ten year old, Bobbi Johnson, as she tries to help with the investigation where the police can’t.
Readers who love To Kill a Mockingbird, Stand by Me, and Angela’s Ashes will enjoy PIKE PLACE.
“Bobbi, come here,” Scottie whispered. “Look at this,” he giggled. Scottie was looking at a painting of a mermaid on the window in the front of the shop. The mermaid was buck naked and her mermaid tail was split in two. She was holding both ends of the tail with out-stretched arms. Scottie was staring right at her bare breasts. I grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the window and told him to close his eyes. “That’s disgusting,” I said, but he just grinned at me. I frowned back. “Scott Johnson. Sometimes I worry about you.” I walked over to my parents. Zev was talking to them. “How would you like to buy a pound of some of these freshly roasted coffee beans? And could I interest you in a coffee grinder, or do you two already have one at home?” Zev asked. I guess he wanted us to buy something; after all, we had just drunk eight cups of his coffee, for free. My mother looked interested, but then she noticed the price. “A dollar and seventy-five cents for a pound of coffee?” she whispered to Daddy. “I can get five pounds of Maxwell House for that on sale at Safeway!” My father put his arm around her shoulder and then smiled at the man behind the counter. “I think we’ll pass today,” my dad said politely. “This was sure good coffee, though. Thank you for the samples, Zev.” Daddy always used a person’s name when he talked to them. I liked that about him. The man just nodded his head and looked over my dad’s shoulder at the next person in line. We followed my parents out of the store, and I stole another look at the logo on the window. The name of the store was spelled out around the naked mermaid. It said ‘Starbucks’.

Favorite music: I grew up playing classical music (flute, piano and stand-up bass guitar), so I love to listen to that.
